While I’ve spent many hours studying law, my favorite thing to study and research is a new travel destination! Before I travel, I study up on my destination, researching the history, culture, language, food, and geography of the place. Once I’m there, I use that knowledge to immerse myself in my destination and let myself wander. My travel style is all about finding the beautiful balance between preparation and improvisation.
Life is busy and not everyone has the time to fall down research rabbit holes, so I want to share all my knowledge, tips, and itineraries to help you along your travel journey. I’ll help you become a studied traveler like me so you can unlock the wonder in wandering.

As "The Studied Traveler," I am all about researching and studying up on my travel destinations before I go. I make lists, itineraries, maps, reservations, and much more. But even after all that careful planning, I still make adjustments in the moment! Travel is all about finding a balance between doing what you planned and doing what’s right in the moment. I’m here to help you find that balance. I provide all the resources and knowledge so you can make the most of your travel.
I love eating my way through a city or town! Food is a key component of culture and a great way to explore a destination. You’ll see my love of food reflected in my itineraries and recommendations If you love to eat your way through a vacation, my blog is for you!
Wherever you go, you’ll have people telling you the “must sees.” But in my opinion, there are no mandatory stops on a trip. You are your own best expert on what you like! That’s why I provide flexible itineraries so you can pick and choose what works best for you.
I love packing my itineraries with fun things to do, but it's also important to remember that travel isn’t sustainable or enjoyable if you run yourself to the ground. Stay in touch with your body and your travel partners if you have them, and adjust your itinerary as needed to rest up.
I am all about researching and studying up on my travel destinations before I go. I make lists, itineraries, maps, reservations, foreign language vocabulary lists, and much more. But just because I make all those plans doesn’t mean I stick to them! I like arming myself with information and options, and then improvising in the moment. Sometimes I visit a famous place and realize I’m not as moved by it as others might be (looking at you, Louvre). Other times, I find a spot that wasn’t on my list but is so much cooler than what I was heading to. Travel is all about finding a balance between doing what you planned and doing what’s right in the moment. I’m here to help you find that balance. I provide all the resources and knowledge so you can make the most of your travel.
I’m a major foodie and I’m all about experiencing culture through food. In all my itineraries and posts, you’ll see my love of food reflected in my recommendations. If you’re the type of person that wants to know where to eat, where to get the best gelato or coffee, I’m your girl.
Wherever you go, you’ll have people telling you the “must sees” or “can’t misses.” My approach is that there are never any mandatory stops. You are your own best expert on what you like. My job as a travel blogger is to give you ideas and options on what you might like, but know that you can always add or subtract what feels right for you! Everyone’s taste is unique, and I just want to give you all the info you need to decide what sounds best to you.
As a travel junkie, I can feel tempted to go-go-go and see as many sights as possible. But it’s sooo important to rest and recharge. Travel isn’t sustainable or enjoyable if you run yourself to the ground. Some of my favorite travel memories come after long days of walking 10+ miles where we turned in early to our hotel with some yummy food and rested up for the next day. Stay in touch with your body and your travel partners if you have them, and adjust your itinerary as needed to rest up.
